Ana Maria returns to Mexico 20 years later to take control of her billion-dollar business. However, things don’t really go according to plan when a fight breaks out between her and her two brothers regarding the company’s direction. The series has only two seasons and was canceled after the second one. Even then, it is a must-watch!

Vis a Vis (Locked Up)
Vis a vis, known as Locked Up in English, is a Spanish TV series that focuses on a young woman’s journey in prison and the difficulties she faces. Macarena, the protagonist, falls in love with her manipulative and corrupt boss. She commits crimes for him and ends up in prison because of that. The show is four seasons long and later on, a spin-off was also released. This became the last installment of the series as the show was no longer renewed. La Casa de Las Flores (House of Flowers)
If you’re looking for something to watch along the lines of dark humor, La Casa de Las Flores is a black comedy-drama series that follows the story of a wealthy Mexican family that owns a prestigious flower shop. Everything seems to fall apart once they discover that the father’s deceased mistress’ family owns a cabaret that shares the same name as their flower store. Ernesto, the father, finds himself in prison due to frauds committed in his name, and Virginia de la Mora is then left to maintain the façade of perfection in his stead. This drama is quite witty and humorous and that is exactly why we recommend it as it is the perfect show to watch on a bad day.
